The difference between a free-form membership area and a course builder

Free Form Membership Areas are essentially locked pages, that you can style however you desire.

These give you total control over the design, but there's less structure, meaning no tracking or analytics inside any courses you build, unless you custom build a tracking system, or implement one from a 3rd party.

You create your own menu system and control access using the membership app, then you can create welcome pages, upsell pages, add extra pages whenever you want for seasonal offers etc.

Course builders are different, because they have a very rigid structure and design. You might be able to change names or colors, but the menu system is usually locked in a certain part of the page, and the structure of each page is identical.

You don't usually get to have welcome pages or upsell pages within your course and if you want to create additional pages, they're usually structured as lessons inside the course.

Our platform has a free-form membership area, not a course builder, so once customers are inside your membership area, there's no tracking as such for what they're doing in there, however you could create one in Pipelines if you want to.

Most people that buy your course will either never log in, or only login once or twice, so tracking isn't as important as you think it might be.
